Famed for their spectacular single-vineyard Barbarescos, Produttori del Barbaresco is perhaps the world’s most celebrated wine co-operative. Founded in 1956, it’s considered one of the most consistent and exceptional producers in the region, and can take a lot of credit for helping the Barbaresco appellation gain a reputation nor far short of its neighbor Barolo. Both are among the best expressions of the Nebbiolo grape and where Barolo can be austere and tannic, Barbaresco can be its warmer, more approachable counterpoint.
