Fefiñanes Rías Baixas Albariño 2024

Fefiñanes holds a singular place in the history of Albariño. In 1928, the winery, set inside a Renaissance palace on the main square in Cambados, became the first to bottle the grape as a single variety and label it by name. It’s still considered one of the benchmark producers for the grape.

The fruit comes from old vines around Cambados, some over forty years old, planted on decomposed granite a short walk from the Atlantic. Six months in stainless steel, no oak involved, just the purity of the fruit and the terroir shining through.

The 2024 is all about sea air and citrus blossoms. Lime zest, white peach, a saline snap that tastes like its home on the Galician coast. Crisp, mineral, alive.

Serve it cold with wahoo off the grill, ceviche, or anything from the sea.
