Conterno Nervi

Heading North from Barolo we come to Gattinara, and Conterno Nervi, the oldest winery in the region. Nervi was recently purchased by Roberto Conterno and the winery was immediately renovated to meet his precise demands for fermentation and aging. Roberto believes that Nebbiolo from Gattinera is every bit as exciting as Nebbiolo from Barolo and his investment into this winery pushes that point forward. These are age worthy wines that are soft enough to drink in their youth, but powerful enough to store in the cellar for decades.
