Pazo Señorans Rías Baixas Albariño 2024

Marisol Bueno planted Pazo Señorans in Meaño in 1989. Three decades later, the estate is the reference point for Albariño, and her daughter Vicky Mareque is making the wines.

The vineyards sit in Val do Salnés, the coolest, most Atlantic part of Rías Baixas. Granite soils, sea breeze, fruit harvested by hand from old vines on traditional pergolas. Stainless steel fermentation, several months on lees, no malolactic.

The 2024 is taut and bright: green apple, lime pith, white flowers, wet granite. A saline edge runs through the whole glass.

The bottle for grilled fish on the patio, ceviche on a hot afternoon, or wahoo crudo before dinner.
