Description
Cool-climate Beechworth Shiraz from granitic soils at elevation — far from the warm, plush style of the Barossa, this is about precision, perfume and black pepper. The 2017 has developed beautifully: smoked meat, violet, dark berry and a savory, fine-grained finish that will continue evolving for another decade.
19.5/20 by Richard Hemming MW (JancisRobinson.com), who described it as a “proper work of Shiraz art” with “fleshy, opulent, extravagant and outstanding quality”.
