The ‘A’ stands for Arbovino — the ancient Sangiovese clone that Petrolo has farmed for generations. From some of the oldest vines on the estate, aged in large cask in the traditional Tuscan manner. Sour cherry, dried herb, tobacco and iron with a firm, mineral-driven finish. Old school Sangiovese from a producer who understands why old school works.
