Paitin is one of the Langhe’s oldest and most respected family estates, the Pasquero-Elia family has been farming their vines in Neive since 1796, and the Ca Veja vineyard, a south-facing slope of Tortonian soils in the heart of Barbaresco country, has long been one of their most treasured parcels. This is Nebbiolo of real charm and complexity, handled with the same care that goes into the domaine’s most celebrated wines.

The 2021 is a beautiful vintage expression with dried rose, wild cherry and a subtle iron-edged minerality with the dried herbs and earthy depth that speak clearly of old vines. Medium to full-bodied, with the firm but ripe tannins and bright acidity that are the hallmarks of great Nebbiolo, and a core of dark fruit and spice that carries through to a long, savory finish. From magnum, this handsomely nuanced Nebbiolo has an added dimension of freshness and elegance, and a treat for any lover of traditional Nebbiolo.
