October 2025 Case of the Month

Our October Edition includes wines that are perfectly geared for the Fall season.

In honour of Terre Nere’s ‘San Lorenzo’ Vineyard taking James Suckling Italian wine of the year, we are offering the 2018 vintage that has been perfectly aged in our warehouse and is drinking beautifully. Also included is Pierre Peters Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs 2018, with laser-like minerality and vibrant energy. Finally, Mark Haisma’s powerful and structured white from Saint Romain in Burgundy.

2 bottle x Pierre Peters Millesime L’Esprit 2018 Blanc de Blancs

Pierre Peter’s Milesime L’Esprit 2018 is an expressive bottle of Champagne, with Chardonnay sourced from across four different Grand Cru Villages. It exemplifies the essence of a Blanc de Blancs. Attractive aromas that grow and develop into a blend of dried fruits and white flowers as the wine aerates. The palette similarly evolves from mellow citrus and bread notes into a crisp chalky finish that’s both refreshing and complex.

2 bottles x Mark Haisma Saint Romain ‘Le Jarron’ 2022

An Australian native, Mark is one of the few ‘etrangers’ that’s managed to source grapes from some of the most prestigious appellations in Burgundy, making a range of poised and concentrated wines. His Saint-Romain  ‘Le Jarron’ is from the Côte de Beaune and showcases his talent for producing laser focused wines. It has a pale gold color, it offers a bouquet of citrus fruits, ripe pear, and subtle floral notes. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with a precise balance of bright acidity and a creamy texture, complemented by hints of brioche and a touch of minerality.

2 bottles x Terre Nere Etna Rosso ‘San Lorenzo’ 2018

Terre Nere’s Etna Rosso ‘San Lorenzo’ was awarded Italian Wine of the Year in 2025 and you can see the potential of the wine in 2018. The vineyard is at 700m-750m in elevation on Mount Etna with acidic volcanic soils. The nose is full of dried berries, strawberries with hints of orange peel and cherry. The palate is elegant with velvety tannins and a medium to full body that is brought to life by the mixed red berries and has notes of minerality and flint. This wine is perfect for a fall afternoon outside enjoying the cooler weather.
