Fontodi’s Chianti Classico has always been highly regarded and one of our more popular wines from this region, however in recent years the quality has risen to sensational levels. Power and ripeness has given way to elegance, finesse and a wonderful purity of fruit. 2021 has been hailed as one of Chianti Classico’s greatest vintages and Giovanni Manetti and his team have produced an epic wine here. A wine for the medium to long term but remarkably approachable in its youth with elegant blueberry, black cherry, sweet spice and super silky tannins.
