Failla ‘Sonoma Coast’ Pinot Noir 2023

Winemaker and owner Ehran Jordan cut his teeth in winemaking whilst working in the Rhône Valley and Turley vineyards in Napa before settling on a 85ha vineyard in Sonoma to establish Failla in the late 90’s. Initially attracted to high octane Syrah and Zinfandel, he now focuses on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grown on cool, elevated sites two miles from the Pacific Coast to craft wines that are precise and textured with lovely purity of fruit that convey the essence of California’s most captivating regions.

To celebrate Thanksgiving this week, we’re featuring Ehran’s signature Pinot Noir 2023 sourced from California’s vibrant Sonoma Coast. For those of you unfamiliar with Failla, this is a fabulous introduction to the estate’s range, producing an elegant and subtle style of Pinot that is markedly influenced by European rather than New World models with astute use of French oak, mature vines and ocean influence that bring this minx of a grape variety to life.
