Viré-Clessé is the Mâconnais appellation that consistently produces the region’s most serious Chardonnay, with limestone soils and a microclimate that bridges the gap to the Côte d’Or. Breillonde is the single-lieu-dit selection: richer, more textured and with more depth than standard village wine. Stone fruit, beeswax and a mineral, long finish.
