Domaine de la Charbonniere Châteauneuf du Pape ‘Mourre des Perdrix’ 2015- Magnum (1.5L)

This month’s magnum is direct from the cellars of Domaine de la Charbonnière and has perfect provenance. We tasted it with Véronique at Wine Paris in February, and this cuvée was hitting its stride. Still fresh and lively, but with secondary development that makes Châteauneuf-du-Pape so enjoyable to drink with ten years or more of bottle age. Get these while you can and hold them for Christmas!

Wine Spectator- 94 points, “this coats the palate with raspberry, boysenberry and blackberry coulis flavors, which race along, with subtle anise and graphite notes underneath. Long and polished through the finish, with a hint of oolong tea adding range”.
