Cibonne Rose Cuvee Tradition 2023

Cibonne has a cult following, and it’s earned. This family domaine on the Provençal coast does everything the commercial rosé world ignores: they farm Tibouren, a rare indigenous grape that almost disappeared entirely, and age the Cuvée Tradition in large old foudres rather than chasing the palest possible colour in stainless steel.

What you get is rosé that actually tastes like somewhere. Dried strawberry, coastal herbs, a saline mineral finish with real length. It’s also one of the rare rosés worth holding. A year or two of bottle age and it finds another level entirely. It’s the bottle that reminds you why the category exists in the first place, before the lifestyle brands took over.
