Cibonne Rose Cuvee Tradition 2022
$30.00
Clos Cibonne have held true to a tradition of making unconventional, age-worthy fine wines made from the rare Tibouren grape, that happen to be rosé, amid an appellation that rewards fitting in and churning out the same-but-different rosé wines which are ever-present throughout Côtes de Provence. This is the Domaine’s flagship rosé, made from 90% Tibouren and 10% Grenache, from mainly younger vines – the Grenache is included in the blend to comply with AOP rules, otherwise it would be 100% Tibouren. This is a Provence rosé with a difference – a smooth, spicy, gastronomic rosé with lovely texture and structure, clean fruit flavors of orange peel and peach with a hint of redcurrant. The palate is brisk and detailed with impeccable balance and freshness.
“Concentrated, intense waxy aromas, struck match and gun flint, smoky and beguiling. There’s spiced plum, cashew and walnut, pink grapefruit and citrus oils. Full-bodied and serious, fantastic. Minty on the finish.” 94 points, Decanter
