Chateau Tronquoy Lalande Saint Estephe 2015

Under the same ownership as Château Montrose, the same care and attention is lavished on this excellent property located at the northern end of the Médoc. Unusually for the appellation where Cabernet Sauvignon dominates most of the blends, this Merlot-driven wine is a result of the high limestone and clay soils found on the property – a characteristic of this soft-textured and versatile grape. This is a full, rich claret from arguably the best vintage of the decade at an incredible price.
