Chateau de Beaucastel Cotes du Rhone Coudoulet Blanc 2020

Coudoulet is an impressive winter white for those whose January remains very much wet. It’s the second wine from Château de Beaucastel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and is part of the estate which sits just outside the boundaries of the appellation to produce this beautifully pitched and aromatic Côtes du Rhône. Bourboulenc, Marsanne, Viognier and Clairette are vinified separately then blended together to produce a wine of remarkable complexity. It’s poised brilliantly between rich and fleshy stone fruits, with a pronounced, vinous texture and a fine vein of freshness that’s perfect for the cooler months.
