Description
André Lurton was the man who revived Pessac-Léognan — and Couhins-Lurton is one of the Graves’ celebrated white wine estates, classified for its Sauvignon Blanc. The 2016 is showing beautifully now: grapefruit, white peach, smoke and the smoky-mineral edge that makes white Pessac one of the great French whites. Serious, age-worthy and still evolving.
90 points, Vinous “A terrific wine for the year, the 2016 Couhins-Lurton Blanc is steely and finely cut, with plenty of Sauvignon Blanc character. Bright citrus, sage and mint abound in this expressive and very pretty white.”
