Castello di Ama Purple Rose Toscana Rosato 2024

Castello di Ama is one of Chianti Classico’s defining estates, and it has just joined our portfolio. From the hamlet of Ama, high above Gaiole, Marco Pallanti and Lorenza Sebasti make some of the most sought-after wines in Tuscany, and they have made a rosato every vintage since 1982. Purple Rose 2024 is estate Sangiovese, drawn off by saignée after roughly twelve hours on the skins, with part of the must fermented in barrique. The result is a rosato with real architecture: bright cherry and raspberry fruit, a floral nose, and a textured, savory finish. More from Ama later this week. The Rosato is a perfect place to start.
