La Cote aux Enfants is Bollinger’s walled vineyard in Ay, a single steep parcel of Pinot Noir bottled on its own only in exceptional years. The 2016 is a rare single vineyard Champagne, vinified partly in old barrels in the house tradition. Red orchard fruit, hazelnut and chalk with tremendous depth. One of Champagne’s true rarities.
