Castello di Ama Purple Rose Toscana Rosato 2024
Castello di Ama is one of Chianti Classico’s defining estates, and it has just joined our portfolio. From the hamlet of Ama, high above Gaiole, Marco Pallanti and Lorenza Sebasti make some of the most sought-after wines in Tuscany, and they have made a rosato every vintage since 1982.
Purple Rose 2024 is a rosato with real architecture: bright cherry and raspberry fruit, a floral nose, and a textured, savory finish.

Chêne Bleu ‘Le Rosé’ 2022
Made from old-vine Grenache blended with Mourvèdre and Grenache Blanc that shows classic Provençal red fruit aromas with notes of raspberry and redcurrant with touches of pink grapefruit and lime.

Castello di Ama
Castello di Ama is new to the portfolio this month, and it arrives off the estate’s biggest year yet. Wine Spectator ranked the San Lorenzo 2021 No. 9 in the world last year, James Suckling put the 2022 at No. 6 in Italy, and Vinous placed the Bellavista 2022 in its Top 100. From the hamlet of Ama, 500 meters above Gaiole, Marco Pallanti and Lorenza Sebasti built one of the defining estates of Chianti Classico.
This Saturday, four wines from the estate are on the table at the warehouse, 10 to 5. Purple Rose 2024, Chianti Classico Ama 2023, Riserva Montebuoni 2021, and Haiku 2021 ($60).
